Professional Staff

The strength of the SAVE, Inc. staff lies in its tenure and broad training.


Maureen Porter is a licensed psychologist (SC#1101) with thirty nine years experience providing counseling to individuals (over age 16), families and couples. She has earned a Master's degree and PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Detroit. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, community mental health clinics and private practice. Dr Porter has a certificate in Marital and Family studies from the Washington School of Psychiatry. She has obtained continuing education credits in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and has completed the Red Cross Disaster training for mental health professionals. Dr Porter specializes in couples counseling.
